Project "Modernization of the Healthcare System of the Republic of Belarus"

 

The Republic of Belarus is implementing the project "Modernization of the Healthcare System of the Republic of Belarus" (hereinafter - the Project) within the framework of the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development of November 25, 2016. (The agreement was ratified and entered into force on May 19, 2017. ) and Orders of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 135rp of August 21, 2017.

The most important task of the health care system is to provide citizens of the Republic of Belarus with affordable medical care, including medical care. Effective implementation of the above task will be facilitated by the widespread adoption of IT systems in healthcare; modern technologies of training, retraining, advanced training and improving the clinical competence of specialists with higher and secondary special medical, pharmaceutical education; technologies aimed at improving the quality of care.

Objective of the project -

assistance in enhancing certain aspects of the quality of care in the Republic of Belarus

This goal will be achieved through:
  • the creation of an e-health system and the introduction of a system for supporting clinical solutions based on information and communication technologies for improving the quality
  • increase the level of clinical competence of health workers in the management of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs)
  • modernization of the system of neonatal care in the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Mother and Child"
